AnnFISHEROn Monday, January 11, peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital with her family by her side, Ann Christine, aged 70, of Church, Accrington, the much loved wife of John, devoted mum of Heath and Heather, mother-inlaw to Stuart and Rachel, and a treasured grandma to Madison. Ann was originally from Clayton-le-Moors and after leaving school she trained as a florist and went on to own her own little flower shop in Accrington in the 80s. Due to a change in circumstances, she gave up her career as a florist and focused on her family, and during this time she met her husband John, to whom she has been married for 33 happy years. She enjoyed getting away in the caravan, visiting various places like Devon, Derbyshire and Scotland, and later she enjoyed holidays suited to her disabilities. Her favourite place was Llandudno in Wales. She later took up crafting, making cards for family and friends for all occasions, and she also made a variety of greetings cards for charities, her main one being the Sense charity shop in Accrington. She enjoyed being in her craft room; it was her own little sanctuary. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family would like to thank all the staff on B4 for the amazing care they provided for Ann, especially in her final days. A family and friends service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 3pm at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations for Sense would be gratefully received in the memory of Ann.
