ShirleyFLETCHERMrs Shirley Fletcher, of Edgeside, Great Harwood, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, aged 81. She worked in many of the cotton mills in the town and also at Priestly Footwear and Parkers. She was a mother to her five children and a very strong homemaker. She loved going to car boot sales with her sister-in-law, making and selling curtains, toys and bric-a-brac. She also enjoyed gardening and later, reading books, while music and family also featured strongly in her life. She is the beloved wife of Bill and also a cherished mum to her children Julie, Wayne, Shaun, Paul and Lee Michael, a grandma and great-grandma, sister-in-law, auntie, and a good friend to many. A service conducted by Vicar Graham Birch will be held at St Bartholomew’s (the old church), Great Harwood, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 1pm, followed by burial at Great Harwood Cemetery.
