Dorothy JoyceFOOKSPassed away peacefully on 22nd February 2024 aged 97, at Guild House Residential Home after a short illness.
Beloved wife of John Carter Fooks, who died on 22nd March 2020 at the start of the Covid crisis. Faithful follower of Jesus Christ, her Lord. "I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. " Psalm 121:1-2 ".
Dorothy was mother to Kevin and Peter, Grandmother to Jan, Rob, Cathy, Dave, Jon, James and Andy and Great-Grandmother to 11 Great-Grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for family only, will take place at 11.30am on 22nd March 2024 at Gloucester Crematorium.
This will be followed by a service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for both Dorothy and John's lives at 12.30pm on 22nd March 2024 at Kendal Road Baptist Church, Longlevens, Gloucester GL2 0NB.
No flowers please. In lieu of flowers if wished, donations to The Leprosy Mission may be left in the collection box after the Service or sent c/o Goodwins Funeral Directors, Peter Scott House, 2 Heathville Road, Gloucester.
