My dear friend. Joy.
We met 78 years ago on our first day at school and so it continued thro' junior and two senior schools, always in the same class.
After school we both started work with insurance companies on the Centre and met every lunchtime, treating ourselves to a lunch out once a week.
We used to go to the cinema together and dancing on a Saturday night. We holidayed together for many years, including our first trip abroad to Majorca. I loved the sun but Joy always stayed under the sun umbrella. She always said that if all her freckles joined up she'd have a much better tan than me! Over the recent years we became part of the 'Ladies that Lunch' group, meeting for birthdays, Christmas, etc.
Joy was a very talented lady with dressmaking, making wonderful celebration cakes , etc.
Thank you for the adventures, laughter and love over the years. I feel privileged to have had you in my life for so many years and I'll miss you. God bless you xx
