Dad – I find myself lost for words today.
Seven years have passed, yet the ache has not grown any lighter.

Each day when I look in the mirror, I catch glimpses of you in me.
I’ve tried my best to live in a way that would make you proud,
and I hope with all my heart that you’re looking down with pride.

7 years without you. I lost a part of me the day you left this world. The lessons you taught me and the love you gave shaped who I am today. Although 7 years have passed it feels like only yesterday we would all sing “You raise me up” in your car with Nanna eating grapes. I hope you and Nanna are in peace, together again.
You will live on in my memories and the stories I tell your great grandchildren.

Until we meet again Grandad, rest peacefully and know I love you so much ❤️

6 years ago heaven gained an angel in the form of one of the most amazing kind, loving and amazing men I have ever met. My grandad… grandad Grapes. It still hurts me that you are no longer here, but I know that you are by my side every day. Your strength, laughter and your unconditional love.. it lives on. I miss you so much, but I know you are up there with Nanna now, together once more, and that brings me comfort. Your great grandchildren will know your name and the memories we shared, and I promise to pass on the love of grapes!
