CarrieFROSTPhoto - emailed to production My Mam, Carrie, passed away recently and I would like to thank all of my friends at Gables Care Home, Highfield Road, Middlesbrough, for everything that they did for Carrie and myself during the last 3 years. They built up good relations with her and she was happy and settled. The dedicated team were always professional, friendly and helpful. Everyone has a very flexible approach, creating a happy atmosphere. It was always a joy and pleasure for me to visit each day and I made good friends with everybody. When Carrie's health deteriorated and it became clear that she had little time left, they made it possible for me to stay with her and gave me 3 big meals each day, numerous sandwiches and cups of tea. Anything that I wanted was no problem. As well as this friendship and kindness, they gave me emotional support and advice to get me through this difficult time. Good controls were in place to ensure that Carrie was extremely comfortable and pain free. They gave her friendship and love and managed her care in a thoughtful, considerate way, always managing to lift her spirits. They catered for funeral guests after the service. This was a real professional job. Great buffet, service and atmosphere was appreciated by all who attended. Carrie was the most important person in my life. My experience of Gables Care Home has been a wonderful one and these memories will always stay with me. Thanks again. Love and best wishes to you all. Colin. x
