Just heard today from Barrie about Carol. We were neighbours for 33 years but downsized 5 years ago. We would occasionally see Carol and Barrie out shopping and have a catchup. Such a shock as we had no idea Carol was ill and sad that we were not at the funeral. All our best wishes go to Barrie, Richard and Susan as it is very difficult to lose a parent and partner. Carol always came across as a vivacious lady who enjoyed life and will be sorely missed.

Dear Mrs Garbutt you were the most amazing reception teacher ever. Even though it was 44 years ago I still remember you like it was yesterday. You cared so much about your pupils my mam told me you even came to visit me in hospital when I was recovering from surgery as a child.
Thank you to you and all the other brilliant teachers who taught and inspired me and led me to being the man that I am today. God bless you, rest in peace and may your family find peace and comfort in their memories.
