As a long-term patient of CGT’s, I would like to add my tribute to this true gentleman . He was supportive, thorough, and loyal to his patients- and ahead of his time. I particularly remember days on Kenn Ward and how CGT treated everyone with the same level of courtesy- from his patients through to all levels of hospital staff and medical colleagues. We remained friends post his retirement indeed exchanging email whilst he was poorly . I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to his family.Elaine K.

In the international community of physician historians, Christopher was a kindly, supportive and encouraging ambassador that helped us all along. I know my Canadian and American colleagues will miss his lovely hosted dinners, his gentle advice on our publications, and his love of medicine and its history.
