I am incredibly sad to have lost Mark. We had a lovely friendship, and meant a lot to each other. He always said he loved how I 'got him'. Mark's humour, kindness, generosity and ability to make his friends feel special, are qualities we will all remember him for. I have so many memories of our times together. Laughing until we couldn't breath at Peter Kay's comedy, going to our first opera together and sitting with our jaws hanging open in delight, working together at Witney police station, play-fighting and supporting each other on difficult days. Mark spoke so lovingly and frequently about his wonderful Mum, whom he adored. He used to tell me about his visits home and made me chuckle when he said he used to fight her in the kitchen - in a fun and cuddly way. What a sad thing that we no longer have Mark here with us. I will light a candle for Mark on the day of his funeral, and remember all the good times. Love and condolences to his family, most of all to his beloved Ruby whom he spoke about with so much pride and love when we chatted.
Rest well dear friend. I loved you very much and am so glad we met. Liz xxx
