Eileen was a fantastic woman. Strong, creative, loving, caring. She excelled at these and more. Gentle and persuasive, a force.

I had the honour of being a pupil in her care at Montpelier and she nurtured me and sent me off with energy and belief into a lifelong professional creative path.

She was a wonder in the role of backdrop artist for the school plays. Made probably metre budgets stretch beyond and suffered and survived seeing half her beloved art hut burned to the ground.

In later years I would visit her occasionally and my mother too. She was always talking about "her boys" with such warmth and love.

Thank you Eileen, I would not be who I am today had you not been such a great creator.
