I had a pint with him most afternoons at the green man Clifton. Told me many story's of his war time experiences in the RAF. Had lent him one or two books on radar and the Lancaster bomber which he loved.
RIP old friend I will have a whisky in memory of you.

Alec was a founder member of Tamworth Round Table, and a very active member, his amusing ' film show 's ' will be remembered by any surviving members.
A man of great humor, raconteur and Tamworthian to the core.
He and Peggy ran Goostry's outfitters shop for many years ..a lovely couple .
