Margaret MaryGILRANEMrs Margaret Mary Gilrane, of Springhill Rest Home, Accrington, died on Friday, January 22, aged 88. She was an administrator/secretary working for the Inland Revenue, Tax and Valuation office in Accrington, and then Blackburn at retirement. Margaret was a lifelong member of St Mary’s Parish, Oswaldtwistle. A devoted wife and mum who enjoyed socialising with family and friends, and who loved to travel, enjoying a number of holidays each year, including cruising to all parts of the world with her husband Alan. Wife of the late Alan, she leaves children and partners Ann and the late Roy, Alan and Mandy, Judith and Alan, Nicholas and Louise, David and Julie, Peter, Simon and Tracey, grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Phillip, Mark, Paul, Nicola, Gabrielle, Rachel, Luke, Ross, Hannah, Joel, and the late Ellena, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Oliver, Ted, Ayla, Nancy, Arlo, Grace, and Rex. Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 10, at 10am at St Mary’s RC Church, Oswaldtwistle, followed by cremation, led by Father Sean O’Brien. No flowers please, with donations in memory of Margaret to HCPT72. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services.
