To us, Vera was much more than a neighbour and a kind-hearted friend.
To us, Vera was family.
She was a huge and very positive influence on us all. As the little girls who lived over the back wall, every Tuesday and Friday (for years) we would spend an evening with Vera - having tea and playing games, she taught us how to bake cakes, pies and pasties. Fun memories.
Vera taught us many things. The most important things she taught us simply involved her being herself. We observed her never ending kindness, generosity and compassion for others. A generous woman who took great care of others and expected nothing in return. Vera powerfully demonstrated unconditional love throughout her life.
We know we were incredibly lucky to have met Vera, a rare and wonderful neighbour. We will always be grateful for our many loving memories of her and her husband, Len, filled with lots of laughter and kindness.
We will sadly miss Vera, and we will always hold her in our hearts as family. Vera - a wonderfully warm, kind, loving, generous lady. Very much loved by us all.
