GeorgeGOODWIN93, of Kenilworth, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Kenilworth Grange.
He was born February 11, 1930, in Glasgow, the son of the late George Goodwin Sr. and Mary-Ann McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Pat and Eileen.
George enjoyed many hobbies over his lifetime, his motorbikes, his MG Midget, carpentry, gardening, and days out in the country. He loved a good pint.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Nixon Goodwin of 69 years, a son, Steven John Goodwin, daughter-in-law, Nicki Cook Goodwin, daughter Sarah Jane Goodwin, grandson Jake Goodwin, granddaughters, Stephanie and Sophie Noto and Cara Goodwin, sister Maisie and brother-in-law David, as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 9:45am on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium. The family welcome friends to join them at The Newlands, Tile Hill Lane Coventry immediately after the service for some light refreshment and to share memories of George.
