JoyGOSTELOWAugust 27th 1939 to September 5th 2025
Joy died peacefully at Cedar Court Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the eldest of 3 daughters born to Charles and Norah Baldwin of Burton-on-Trent.
Throughout her life, she found solace from hardship in her enduring spiritual belief and volunteered her time generously to many of the local parish churches, especially St Aiden's. She bravely packed up and moved half way round the globe to live on Tarawa and Guadalcanal in the mid 70s & early 80s. On her travels she spent time in Fiji, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Kashmir, India, New Zealand, the US, Canada and every piece of Europe.
Despite the novelty of exotic locations, Joy always yearned for the familiar faces and places of Burton and was most content spending her time peacefully amongst her extended family, especially the youngest generation of grandkids, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Joy is survived by her husband, Peter, daughters Rachel & Rebecca, grandsons Felix & Julian, sisters Linda & Ann, nieces Emma, Dianne, Nicola & Jane and her many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Time to lay down your burden.
