GRAHAM DAVIESGRAHAM G. DAVIESSwans Goalkeeper, R.A.F. Officer, Mumbles PublicanGraham died on November 12th in hospital after respiratory problems. He was 82. As a young man Graham, a Wales schoolboy cap and as a professional footballer played in goal for Swansea, Watford, Hereford and Merthyr Tydfil. During the war he served in RAF bomber command flying in Lancasters and Wellingtons reaching the rank of Acting Squadron Leader. Later in life he was a well known local publican with his wife Betty-finally in The Antelope in Mumbles for 20 years. He was a past member of Langland Bay Golf Club, The Mumbles Conservative Club and The Mumbles Rugby Club.He leaves a loved wife Betty and was the proud father of his sons Phillip and John, a happy grampa to Stewart, Laura, Phillippe, Elise and Amelia, the privileged father-in-law to Susan and Annie and admired son-in-law of Beryl and the late Emrys Hill. They and his many friends will miss him and his good company and he will miss them all. Funeral service at Swansea Crematorium on Friday 21st November 12.30 p.m. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The Mumbles Lifeboat Crew Association c/o St. James Funeral Home, 31 St. James Gardens, Uplands, Swansea.
