So saddened to hear of Sandys passing. I’m sure she loved being a grandmother as much as she loved being a mum. I have so many memories from Mount Pleasant Primary and she was there for me through the good and the bad. She will be remembered for her sense of fun- especially if there was a microphone or karaoke! My lasting memory of Sandy I think would be bowling… if you weren’t quick enough she’d have your go for you- might not be the correct lane and I’m sure I remember at least one ball almost hitting the ceiling!
I’m glad she managed to fit in so much travel and family celebrations- I loved seeing photos online recently. Sending condolences to the whole family, Sandy will definitely be missed x

I’m really saddened by this and sending condolences to the family. I know she would have loved being a grandmother as much as she loved being a mum. I have so many memories of Sandy from Mount Pleasant Primary, she looked out for me during some of the worst points of my life. But she also made me laugh. Whether it was hogging the karaoke, or nabbing my babies for cuddles when I bought them in to visit, or buying inappropriate secret Santa gifts for the head teacher! My favourite memory is bowling. If you weren’t up fast enough Sandy would steal your go! (Might not be in the correct lane, or even in the lane at all… she might even take the ball from your hands as you stand there and I’m pretty sure I remember one ball almost hitting the ceiling!) She was fun, caring and supportive. Definitely a life taken too soon x

Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences to all Sandra’s family and friends. You were my work mum for a few years at Mount Pleasant, keeping me and everyone else in check. Your sense of fun and vice like grip on a karaoke microphone was something to behold. Rest in peace lovely lady.
