David Charles GordonGREENOn March 22nd, 2022, David Charles Gordon Green of Biddulph, Staffs, formerly of Accrington, Lancs. Passed away suddenly, but peacefully aged 84 years, in the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke on Trent. David was the dearly loved husband of Josie, father of Martin and Susan, and son in law Jeremy Garvey and Martin's partner Sylvia. Grandfather of Christopher and Joseph. He had recently moved from Accrington to Biddulph, Staffs, to live near to family. David's working life was spent as an engineer from Apprentice to Quality Manager, at GEC, Clayton-Le-Moors, previously English Electric. During this time, he spent a year in Loughborough studying for his qualifications and met his wife, Josie, there. David was a keen sailor and spent many happy hours sailing at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club and later in his 24ft Eventide yacht 'Lady Gertrude' around the coast of the UK. The funeral service will be held at St Lawrence's Church, Biddulph, on Thursday 21st April at 1.45pm, to be followed by cremation.
