AlanGREENAlan Green, of Fairfield Avenue passed away at Preston Royal Infirmary Hospital on December 30, following complications to a long existing condition, aged 75 years. He previously worked in the valley as a baker at Cordey’s Bakery in Rawtensall and latterly Howarth Packaging as a warehouse operator, in Waterfoot. Alan leaves behind his beloved wife Georgina, daughter Suzanne and sons Stephen, Stuart and Scott and 14 grandchildren. Having lived for 50 years in Edgeside, Alan supported the local area and was active in years past as the manager for the White Horse Football Team and supporting Edgeside Bowling. In more recent years he passed his time watching a variety of sports on the TV. His funeral will take place at 2.30pm on Monday, January 23 at Burney Crematorium with a small wake at the Jolly Sailor, Booth Road after.
