I remember Joan so so well. Dancing round the living room and always full of fun. She introduced me to Brookside and let me buy my first zip front jump suite through her Little woods catalogue. That was such a moment. She didn’t laugh when Alison and I bunked off PE and had Wella perms - which looked well frizzy and NOT sexy :)

She never let on that she most definitely realised Alison and I would raid the booze and get out and look at all the Christmas presents she’d be buying well in advance and ‘hiding’ in the wardrobe.

A full on character who loved her girls fiercely.

Sending love to you all xxx

Joan was a constant visitor to our house when my mam and dad were here. She was a fireball of a woman always laughing and joking and the biggest flirt ever. Myself and Gary have wonderful memories of a lovely lady, who is now being centre stage at a huge party in heaven with all her friends and with Denny ❤️
