In memory of my wonderful Uncle Ian - an uncle like no other. Always delighted to see us when he visited mum, with a ready smile and mischievous twinkle in his eye. His quick wit and sense of humour never failed to amuse us kids, but he also enjoyed more serious discussions and listened carefully to our opinions with gentleness and respect. We loved seeing him on telly and hearing him on the radio - so proud to have a celebrity in our family! Give mum a hug from me x

Condolences to Trisha and the family. We remember Rev Ian with love and affection. He always had a wonderful smile and a kind word and was our Minister for many years. Rest in peace in the Lord, in whom you had the utmost most faith Hilary, Tony, Carl and Rachel

My dear Uncle Ian, whom I remember as a jolly, large man, with a wonderful smile which I saw often in my childhood. Very fond memories of brief encounters when visiting Scotland with the family. Ian's sister, my mother Janet, shared with us his writings that he sent her occasionally, which I enjoyed reading and debating with my mother. Rest in peace my dear uncle. Also remembering his brother Nicky at this time. Much love to all the family.
