GwendolineGRIFFITHSPatricia 17.03.1920 - 04.03.2008 Sadly but peacefully Gwen passed away at Prince Charles Hospital on Tuesday March 3. Beloved wife of the late George Griffiths, loving mother of Jean, Keith and Pat, devoted stepmother of Anne, Priscilla, Michael, David, Vince and Peter, mother-in-law to Derek, Bernard, Tony, Kevin, Mary, Barbara, Dianna and Carol, sister to Pat. A cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother and Aunty. Gwen suffered many years of ill health, which she bore with courage and determination. The family would sincerely like to thank family, friends, neighbours and carers for the messages of sympathy, support and donations of £650 for Cancer Support Cynon Valley. Thanks to everyone who attended the Service at Saint Winifred's Church and Llwydcoed Crematorium. Special thanks to Father Andrew Holmes who conducted the Service and for his words of comfort and to Dale and Geraint of T.Teify Davies Funeral Directors for carrying out their services with care and dignity, to the Staff of Ward 12, PCH, District Nurses, Home Carers for their friendship and care, to Doctor Mukherjee and Staff, Cwmbach Surgery for many years of care, also Saint Mair's Day Centre which Gwen enjoyed so much. The family are comforted to know that Gwen was so highly regarded and respected by so many people. "She will be missed by us all."
