RichardGROSVENORPassed away peacefully at home on Friday 25th July 2025, aged 77.
Known professionally as Malcolm, Richard began his career in journalism with the Express & Star under the brilliant leadership of Clement Jones, and later joined the Birmingham Evening Mail, where he covered both motoring and local government throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He also worked in local radio before moving into public relations, taking senior roles with Southampton City Council and Greater Manchester Council, where he served as Director of Public Relations in the 1980s.
Richard founded and ran two PR agencies, including Intercommunication in Manchester, and Write Angle Ltd in Kingston upon Thames, where he later worked in local government and housing before retiring in 2013.
Richard will be remembered for his dry wit, his intelligence, and his enduring commitment to helping people and to public service.
Richard adored his family, and is survived by his beloved children Ben, Alexis and Jack, and his loving sister Jill.
Private funeral to be held on 8 August.
