EmilyHALSTEADMrs Emily Elizabeth Halstead, of Rochdale Road, Bacup died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Monday, January 18, aged 86. A service was held at the Chapel of Rest on Tuesday, February 9, followed by cremation at Rochdale, conducted by Rev. David Bartram. Born in Liverpool, she came to live in Bacup during the war. Emily was employed for many years at the Lancashire Sock Co. and J & J McLerie’s as a sewing machinist. In her younger days she enjoyed dancing at the various Foresters Events. She leaves son Garry and his wife Natalie, late stepson Billy and his wife Margaret, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends.
