Ellen MarieHARRIES(née Doyle) Passed away at Cheltenham General Hospital on 8th October, after a short illness, aged 85 years.

Beloved daughter of Brockworth District Nurse Mary Doyle, sister of Sheila, aunt of Frank Greenwood and mother of Mary.

Requiem Mass to be held on 27th October at Sacred Hearts Church, Cheltenham at 2pm with refreshments afterwards in the church hall.

So sad to read this news. Wonderful memories of Ellen as Head of St Edward’s First School. Always kind and caring. Shared a birthday with our son, Timothy, and kept a special eye on him from when he joined the Kindergarten at aged 2.5 years onwards. Remembered too by older son, Christopher, who joined the school in Year 2 when we moved to Cheltenham in 1989. The “lady in red” was an inspirational and fearless lady. RIP Ellen ❤️
