The obituary notice of Eileen HARRIS

Today, we remember and celebrate the beautiful person my Mam was. We were so lucky to have her as our Mam. Not a day goes by when my Mam and Dad are not in my thoughts and I am so thankful for all the time we spent together. For those families not as lucky a donation to Zoe’s Place will be made in remembrance to help them.

Instead of flowers this year for Mother’s Day I made a donation to Mind in memory of my Mam. It helps on my parents special days in the year to donate to charities so that some good comes from the sadness and loss.

I remember talking to Andrew, a few years ago, when he said ‘we have been really lucky with our Mam and Dad’. Truer words were never spoken. We were lucky and there was not a day went by that I did not appreciate you or try to spend time with you. I am so thankful I got to be with you for 63 years.

I look at the photo of you both here, smiling at me, and it brings me great comfort as it reminds me of all those memories we share, lovely family times.

Thank you Mam for being you, we will always miss you but are thankful for all the fun times we had together. I know you are with Dad now, where you belong and still watching over us.
