WilliamHARRISONMr William Edward Robert Harrison, known as Ted, of Rawtenstall, died at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, July 29, aged 86. Ted started as an accountant, and then went to work in Southend in their account department, then came back to Rawtenstall to further his career in accountancy and mill management, finishing at Hargreaves Street Mill, Haslingden, and prior to retirement working as the cook at Crestmoor Children’s Home. He loved cricket, and was a season ticket holder at Burnley Football Club. Ted was a member of the Soldiers and Sailors Club in Rawtenstall, where he was treasurer. He also enjoyed holidays, and camping in Wales. He leaves wife Heather, son Simon, daughter Zoe, grandchildren Xavier, Jake, and Ivan, daughter-in-law Meg, and son-in-law John. The funeral was due to be held on Thursday, August 11, at 11.30am at Burnley Crematorium. Flowers welcome. Donations can be made online at www.fredhamer. co.uk (tributes and donations).
