My Brother Alan.
16/05/1951--09/03/2023.
They say they are sorry for your loss
They say your heart will mend
They say your in a better place
And death is not the end.
They say your reunited with our loved ones
gone before.
They say that you will be waiting when I walk through Heaven's door.
But all the words of comfort , though kind sincere and true
Can't take away the emptiness
That I feel without you.

Can it really be 3 years since you left us?
Alan having recently had a cancer diagnosis myself and been given those green books from MacMillan, brought back memories of you telling me your feelings on receiving those books.
I understand those feelings much more now.
Though with your ICU background you were more aware than I could ever be and it hurts to know that you went through so much and your colleagues were treating you during your final days.
I wonder what thoughts you had?
Rest well my brave, funny and clever brother.
You are loved and missed by family friends and colleagues alike.

Alan, Tomorrow starts another New year and I wish we could celebrate like we used to do many year's ago, nothing stays the same though . Xxx

I miss you so much Alan the world got a little darker for me when you left, you were so brave Alan so brave knowing what was happening. Even as I write this I still have trouble accepting it.
I'm sending you all my love this Christmas Alan .
