Rest in peace John. You were such a kind and positive person with only good things to say about people. We were always interested to hear your stories about your time on the railways and army. You will be sadly missed. Mark

John was a very kind and friendly man. We first met John at Badgeworth Church as he was a volunteer in the churchyard. John quickly became a close friend of our family - we will miss John tremendously.

John lead life to the fullest and had some incredible stories, from his days as an evacuee, to his time in the Army and as a railway worker. I am very grateful for the time we spent with John and the conversations we had.

We will miss John incredibly,
Ewan
