Was with an Old Ed this morning catching up about old times and our revered Physics teacher and dept head Mr Hathaway. Not only was he an amazing teacher but he would drive the squash team around the Midlands as we challenged other sixth formers at King Henry's Bablake etc. Some happy memories of those days and Newtons Laws. R.I.P

Been to the 50th anniversary of king Edward college today - had a look round the Physics lab that Mr Hathaway taught us in and it brought so many memories back - he was a very gentle and softly spoken man who had a lot of patience with us. I remember him telling us how he taught in Africa and write a science book to be used there- RIP Mr Hathaway you were a great Physics teacher, I only wish I could have reached your high standards
