SueHAWESue Hawe, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in Exeter. Born on December 10, 1953, in Gloucester, Sue was the daughter of Edna Florence Myers and Arthur Maurice Bidmead. She spent most of her life in Exmouth after moving from Gloucester in 1988. During Sue's time in Exmouth she became a well-known and respected member of the community. Known for her mischievous sense of humour, she was a true joker who loved a good laugh and brought joy to everyone she met.
A natural caregiver, Sue spent many years as a dedicated carer, touching the lives of many through her compassionate nature. In the later years of her career, she brought her expertise and kindness to The Homestead Care Home in Exmouth, where she ran a day care unit. She went above and beyond for the residents, planning lovely activities that made their days brighter.
Sue will be deeply missed by her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Andrew, Max, Liam and families.
A service to celebrate Sue's life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at St Margaret and St Andrew's Church, Littleham, Exmouth EX8 2RF. Followed by a gathering in the Clinton Arms closeby to the church.
