Jim was a friend back in the Cix days. We collaborated on some programming and became good friends, When I first met Jim I was bowled over by his enthusiasm and energy. I searched the web to see if I could re-find Jim after several years, but it seems I was too late. The world is a better place because of people like Jim. Rest in peace old friend.

Dear Jim, it was a real privilege to meet you during my time at the University of Hull. I loved collaborating with you on software development and you made it all look so easy. An incredibly intelligent, eclectic, creative, funny and warm human beings. You will be missed by many, myself included. My condolences to Gillie and your family.

An honour to have known and worked with Jim. One of my heroes from the first golden age of TV… and a lovely man to boot.
