NeilHAWORTHMr Neil Haworth, formerly of Glenmore Close, passed away peacefully in hospital on Thursday, January 28, aged 82. At the age of 18, Neil did his National Service. He then worked for various companies including Allspeeds, Dick Bearings, Cobble & Plant Saco Lowell, and then finally for Cherry Tree Machine Company before taking his retirement. In his spare time and during his retirement Neil played the saxophone, when younger played in a Jazz Group called Inner Space, then later in life went to Jam sessions at Stanley Street Club. He also loved dogs and provided a loving home to several rescue dogs. Neil was a much loved father of Susan and David, a dear father-in-law of Ian and Clare, a treasured grandad of Robyn, Josh, Marcus, Jorgia, Ethan and Hannah, and a loving great-grandad of Ava and Theo, also a dear brother-in-law of Jennifer and Paul. He will be very sadly missed by all those who knew him. A private funeral service will be held for immediate family and close friends only due to the current government restrictions.
