I didn't know David for long but I know how much Andrea loved him and am very moved by their story which began years ago when they were both at New College. Andrea told me how she kept the letters he sent her from his missions abroad and showed them to him when they met again many years later, leading to their marriage. I only wish they had been able to have longer together.

David was the best of neighbours, so well-thought of by everyone that met him in the Lindley Moor area. He was always happy to break off from gardening to talk to passers by.
He was also a very special friend, being kind, thoughtful, caring and having a gentle dry wit that would always raise a smile.
There is a gap in the top of our fence where we would meet up and talk about so many things; there is now a gap in our lives that can only be filled with happy memories.
Our thoughts and love go out to Andrea, Isabel, Richard & Freddie who meant the world to him as he did to them.
David, our special friend.
