Mary "Joan" Hayden
Passed away peacefully on 16th January 2026, aged 101 years, surrounded by her loving family.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe Hayden, and her son, Michael. She is survived by her children, Kath, Andrew, Chris, and John, their partners, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A spirited, vibrant, and scholarly woman, Joan lived fully and treasured her family above all. She found joy in shared times, loved sport, busy hands, playing cards, socialising and passing on her knowledge and passions to all who knew her. Her warmth, laughter, and zest for life enriched everyone around her.
The funeral will be held at St Theresa's Church on Thursday 12th February at 2:15pm.
At the request of the family, no flowers please; donations in her memory to the Deaf Centre would be gratefully received.
