It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas (Tommy).

Peacefully in Abbey Court Care Home surrounded by his loving family on 18th February 2026, aged 92 years.

Dearly beloved Husband of Elizabeth. A much loved Dad of David, Paul, Yvonne and Michelle. A dear Father-in-law of Mary, Barbara, Mark and Dave. Treasured Grandad of Michael, Carole-Ann, Mark, Deanne and Kyle. Also Great Grandad to Anastasia.

Tommy will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Would all meet at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Thursday 12th March at 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers gratefully received on behalf of the Alzheimer's Society, a collection box will be available at the Chapel.

Just want to say thank so much to everyone who braved the awful rain on Thursday 12th March to celebrate Tommy’s life with us and give him the send off he so deserved.
Can we also thank you for your generosity. As a result of your kindness we are able to donate £400 towards battling Alzheimer’s dementia.

Rest in peace Uncle Tommy dementia is such an awful disease made a prisoner by your own mind, your loved ones losing you time and time again now you are free and at peace.

Rest in peace Tommy , you were a pleasure to care for 🥰 such a gentleman, I will always cherish our memories and friendship we had together and your cheeky smile when you saw me every morning and always wanting a cuddle from me.
I will miss you so much seeing your cheeky smile and hearing your laugh , promised you I’d be right there until the very end of your journey and I’ve stuck to it for you my darling🥺 but Rest in peace my darling , and I’ll have a drink for you,
