HughesHELEN"Helen Caxton" Pwllheli 1917 - 2008. Helen Hughes (Guinane) sadly died at a nursing home in Cheshire on July 3rd, 2008 following six months of ill health. Helen's father, William Hughes, founded the family newsagents and booksellers, "CAXTON HOUSE", in 1903 and the family were well known in Pwllheli until 1983 when Helen and her daughter, Mary-Lorraine, sold the business. Although Helen moved away from Pwllheli after she was married, and travelled widely, she did return to the town between 1976 and 1983, and always thought of Llyn as 'home'. Following cremation on July 11th, her ashes will be interred in her parents grave in Penrhos Cemetery, Pwllheli.
