MargaretHENDERSONMargaret Henderson, of Haslingden, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, April 22, aged 97. A retired psychiatry nurse at Rossendale General Hospital, a job which she loved. In her retirement Margaret loved meeting up with friends at the IDL Club in Haslingden, especially on Thursday where it was “eyes down” for the weekly bingo. She also enjoyed a good old sing song. Wife of the late Clarence, she was mother to Eric, Christine and the late Roy, and mother-in-law to Susan. Partner of many years to the late George Clegg, she leaves behind his children David, Jean, Geoffrey and Christine. Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 4, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only, with donations to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods, Haslingden.
