Mrs Herbert, you bought me a Swan for my 21st Birthday when I worked in the kitchen at Orchard House. I am now 72 years old. I have always remembered you. Carol Hextall

Back in the 1980s a group of us worked for Betty Herbert. After 25 years we reunited and named ourselves Betty's Bitches/Batty Birds
You taught us all how to care, all these years later we still talk about our good days at Orchard House, we did sponsored walks, created carnival floats and held social evenings in the bar with the residents. You left a definite presence in all of us. Debbie, Sandra Sue Michelle and the late Gill and Jean xxxx
