MargaretHEYSMrs Margaret Heys aged 91, formerly of Accrington, died peacefully on 8 November in Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey following a short illness. Margaret was born in Accrington and lived there for most of her life until she moved to Farnham in 2012. She was married to her late husband Norman for 55 years. She attended Peel Park and Hyndburn Park schools and then worked as a clerk at Co-op Insurance, Blakes, Allspeeds and Slinger and Son Solicitors until she retired in 1984. Margaret and Norman enjoyed day trips to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District and had many happy holidays in the UK, Europe and the Mediterranean. Following her move to Farnham to be close to family, she quickly settled into her new life and made even more friends. She had an active social life and loved needlework, Scrabble and listening to music. She never lost her love of Lancashire and kept in touch with all her old friends. She leaves daughters Pauline and Kathryn, son-in-law Malcolm, grandchildren Andrew, Robert and Laura and great grandchildren Ollie, Jude, Shannon, Sophie and Ethan. Her funeral will be at Aldershot Crematorium on 4 December. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in memory of Margaret to Cancer UK or The Salvation Army. c/o H.C. Patrick, East Street, Farnham.
