DonaldHEYSDonald Heys, of Haslingden, passed away in Clitheroe Community Hospital on Saturday, November 13, aged 94 years. Donald was the husband of the late Dorothy and last survivor of 12 children. He leaves behind his daughter Gillian and her husband Paul, and granddaughter Rebecca and her partner Richard. Donald worked in the Cotton Mills in his younger days, but the job he loved and where he retired from, was working as a School Caretaker, at Helmshore County Primary School. Donald loved walking and could often be seen out and about in Rossendale. His funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 30, at Haslingden Baptist Church, followed by a burial at Haslingden Cemetery. Family flowers only, with donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society c/o funeral director. Funeral director: Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson Durning and Woods, Haslingden.
