MalcolmHIGSONMr Malcolm Higson, of Crawshaw Drive, Reedsholme, died at home, peacefully with his family, on Thursday, April 28, aged 75. The most cherished husband of Dorothy and the beloved father of Philip. A much loved brother to Linda, brother-in-law to the late Peter, son-in-law to John, and brother-in-law to Glenn. A loved uncle and great-uncle. A member of Advanced Motorists, Malcolm worked in Mail Order for most of his working life, and met Princess Diana when he was customer service manager at Damart Thermals, who asked him if he was an expert in ladies underwear. Malcolm was an avid Formula 1 fan, and took every opportunity to watch the races; a highlight was walking the track with Dorothy at Monaco. A private funeral will be held on Friday, May 13. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Cancer Research can be made at www.fredhamer. co.uk along with tributes. Funeral director: Fred Hamer Funeral Services, Rawtenstall.
