DouglasHINDLEMr Douglas Richard Hindle, of Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7. Husband of Valerie for 61 years, Douglas spent most of his working life as Store Manager for the Co-operative Society. He enjoyed football, snooker, and cricket, and was an active member of Spring Terrace Working Men’s Club, where he was Treasurer for many years. Douglas leaves his son Paul and daughter-in-law Susan, son David and partner Julie, grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Oliver, and Lucie, and great-grandsons Jack and Ben. He was loved dearly and will be very sadly missed. Douglas’ funeral will take place on Friday, January 28, at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematorium, conducted by Neil Overton.
