BrendaHINDLEYWith her family by her side, Brenda peacefully passed away on 16th November just two days before her 71st birthday. Leaving behind her heartbroken family- Mum Vera, Daughter Sam, Grandson Joel, along with son in law Antony and extended family. Brenda will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service to take place at St Johns Church, Studd Brow, Whitworth. OL12 8LT on Wednesday 28th November at 11.00am, followed by interment at Whitworth Cemetery. Family flowers please by request, donations if desired to Crisis, a charity close to Brenda's heart. A donation box will be available on the day. A warm welcome awaits following the service for 'refreshments and reflections' at The Riverside, Whitworth. Please wear a splash of red to remember Brenda. Brenda and I worked together at Springfield hospital (now North Manchester General Hospital) in the early 1970s and became at first pen friends, then email friends after I left to pursue my career in Norfolk and Devon. We wrote to update each other on our lives at Christmas each year and celebrated 40 years of correspondence in 2014. I received her last email in March 2018 and have since sadly missed her Christmas messages. She was a lovely person, I miss her friendship and could never forget her.
