The Ken I knew and loved was a man of many faces the fun loving life and soul of the party and quiet introverted man at home. I wanted to thank you for welcoming me into your family nearly 40 years when I fell in love with your son Colin. I remember the wonderful times in the Firs Royal British Legion, Saturday night dances and Friday nights when you sat playing dominoes with my Mom. You were the only father I’ve known having lost my own when I was only 2. The only grandfather my children had. Their description of Grumpy grandad is 100% true, however your love for them always shone through. It didn’t diminish the mutual love and respect for each other. You were the man who helped my children with maths homework when Colin and I were working and teased them by pulling funny faces. I will miss you Ken now you rest easy lots of love Jenny Hitchins .

The man I remember was never grumpy. He always had a big smile on his face, just like the one in picture and was always up to some mischief. Growing up with him as my uncle meant the family holidays we had together were always great fun and the get togethers, always around a drink we’re even funnier.
So many happy memories, thank you Uncle Ken.
Much love,
Pauline xx

To my loving Grandad,
I miss you so much every day 😢 You was always the grumpiest person I knew but I always managed to crack a smile out of you. I hate that I never got to say goodbye but I hope your at peace now. Love you always.
