MargaretHOBSONWe are heartbroken to announce the passing of our mother Margaret (Rita) Hobson. She retained her humour and dignity until she passed peacefully on Mere Ward in the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital on 20th May.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Exeter Crematorium on 23rd June at 11am.

Our mam. She could bear a grudge like no one else. But if she let you in, she would defend like no one else. She was a career nurse who found the time to take into her home a father and grandfather in law and raise two girls who somehow didn’t end up feral. A beautiful woman inside and out who I will miss so much for the sense of humour we shared, the encouragement she gave to live my life and the love of mint toffees we indulged in.

My condolences to you all.
I have great memories of Auntie Rita.
Rita is the reason I became a nurse. Lovely, kind woman with a great laugh.
Rest well Rita.
