Dorothy GarlandHODGEOn Thursday 12 March 2026, Dorothy blessedly and peacefully passed away at home in Feock Parish, surrounded by her family.

Aged 88 years, she was born on 29 December 1937 in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, and was a retired primary school teacher.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of Brian for 67 years; the cherished mummy of Sharon and Rebecca; adoring and proud granny of Sam, Holly, George, Max, Oliver, Oscar, Bertie, Lily and Darcy, as well as the delighted and admiring great-granny of Arthur, Conor, Louis and Henrietta; together with having Rosemery as her dear younger sister.

The Funeral Service for Dorothy will take place on Wednesday 1 April 2026, at 3:00pm, in the Parish Church of St Feock; followed by a private family committal at Penmount Crematorium.

Family flowers only.

Donations in memory of Dorothy will benefit the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity (F2698) in aid of Gynaecological Oncology Research.
