Her Catholic faith was a constant unassuming part of her life. She attended both St Veronica’s and St Mary’s, Haslingden almost every Sunday of her life. A visit to the Vatican was a lifetime ambition fulfilled in 2008. Anne’s other passion, when she finally had leisure time in later life was ballroom dancing at Platts Social Club, Accrington and the IDL Club, Haslingden. She enjoyed crown green bowling in Victoria Park, Greenfield and Worsley Park, and served as treasurer for 10 years only relinquishing her responsibilities in 2020. Anne passed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on November 21, aged 88 years, where she received exceptional care. A Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 7, 10am at St Mary’s RC Church, followed by a burial at Haslingden Cemetery, officiated by Fr. John Broadley. Family flowers only please.
