ColinHOPELifelong Oswaldtwistle resident, Mr Colin Hope, passed away in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday, July 8, aged 84. After completing an apprenticeship in joinery, Colin worked at Shopfitters (Lancashire) Ltd for over 25 years where he rose to senior management. He ended his career in a teaching post with the RNID. Colin enjoyed music and films, was an avid reader and loved gardening and the countryside. He leaves a widow, four children and their partners and six grandchildren. Colin’s funeral will take place at 11.15am on Wednesday, July 21, at Rhyddings Methodist Church, Oswaldtwistle, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please; donations are being received in memory of Colin on behalf of Derian House Children’s Hospice via champfunerals.com/ obituaries All enquiries to funeral director Champ Funeral Services, Bank House, Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
