I remember David as my friend, manager and mentor when I was a schoolboy working at EB Jones in the early 70's. He was a naughty, cheeky, wonderful bloke, beloved by the ladies. I could tell you some stories! For instance, we'd give the barman from the Glan extra bacon, and when we ordered halfs at the Glan, he'd give us pints - we called him 'Big Half'. David, you stand out through the long decades of my life as a beacon of warmth, guidance and frienship and humor. You were more loved than you probably knew. Before too long I'll jon you for another 'Big Half' and we'll have a laugh! RIP mate.

David was my manager and friend at EB Jones when I was still in school. He was a lovely man and bloody naughty! We'd give extra large bacon packets to the barman at the Glan who would then serve us 'Big Halves' -David and I called him 'Big Half'.
I could tell some very funny stories about Dave, but maybe not here.
RIP my old friend and mentor. You were more loved than you knew. One day soon we'll have another 'big half' and share some laughs. I'm an old man myself now and you stand out through the decades.
